Cole County Historical Society Museum
History on display before and during the Louisiana Territory era. Every room has a different theme of history such as the Civil War and First Lady’s inaugural gowns.
You can find things like the uniforms worn during the Civil War, the weapons used, flags and anything else the soldiers may have utilized during war. Cole County Historical Society Museum is the only museum in the country that displays the inaugural gowns worn from the First Lady’s year round. The museum is dedicated to collecting and preserving the various artifacts to display, educate and provide research for the residents and visitors to understand the culture.
